The title says it all. I had an utterly fantastic weekend. The kids were away Friday and Saturday nights, leaving Tim and I free to do whatever we wanted to do. And that's just what we did.
Friday night we went out for dinner and then back home for a movie night (and other things). Saturday morning we slept later than we have in a very long time. Then we went out to an early playing of The Expendables. I have to say that it was an awesome movie full of uber hot guys. My one and only complaint was that Jason Statham didn't take his shirt off even one little time. How is that NOT a waste of a smokin' hot Jason? Really people.
After the movie we did some shopping and then came home and made our very own seafood dinner.
Sunday morning we picked the kids up and visited with FIL. And now we're here, at Monday. Today started out slow, but picked up steam right around lunchtime with errands, a visit to the bank, getting a legal paper notarized and visiting with my mother and grandmother. During all of that I still managed to clean the kitchen, wash three loads of laundry and hang two of those loads outside on the clothsline to dry (gotta save electricity where I can).
Whew!
Soooo, as I said before, a fantastic weekend started the new week off on the right foot. Things went smoothly and we had a wonderful time. All of that before the craziness of a new school year starts next week. No matter how crazy it is, I'm really looking forward to getting back on our normal schedule.
Tomorrow I have more to do around the house before I have three days of teacher meetings and school open house on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Then I'm planning a little at-home campout for the kids' last weekend of summer before school starts next Tuesday. I'll definitely have pictures to share of all the back-to-school festivities next week. ![]()
So, in the meantime, bare with me until I can get back to my regularly scheduled programming with more blog entries, freebies, contests, giveaways and book releases. We'll see what we can do about giving something good away when the Facebook Like Page reaches 1,000 members, too.
I hope you're having a great start to this new week.
*Smooches to all*
