Thursday. Right? I have a tendancy to lose track of days when I'm not leaving the house on a regular basis. I wake up wondering what day it is and what plans I may be forgetting. Today was no different.
I did go to bed happy last night though. It was after midnight, but I was happy nonetheless. Things were flowing nicely and if I hadn't been so tired I would have been up much longer. Kill Me Next Week collected another 1,000 words between 10:30pm and midnight. I also did some calculations after I decided to call it quits and came up with the ugly truth that I need to write 1,400 words a day to reach the finish line by the end of the month. Looks like I'll have to up my game to make my goal. It's no worse than doing NaNoWriMo every November.
I know I'll be quite happy with myself once this goal is reached. Having the 1st draft complete is a huge stepping stone to finishing up the project. After that it's all about editing, rewriting, adding, removing, moving stuff around until the story is just right. Oh, and of course the fun part of cover design! I quite enjoy that part.
I've had thoughts on the cover design I want since I started this project. Can't wait when I get to that part, but it makes me miss my old cover designer even more. ![]()
So, we've had a ton of rain the last two days. I went out yesterday morning & picked up more gas for the lawnmower, with intentions to mow after Tim left for work. Mother Nature had different plans when she sent a noon thunderstorm to drench us good, and then it stormed all night last night. Needless to say, it's very soggy out there this morning.
Most of you know that I did a guest blog yesterday on A Moment with Mystee. I want to thank all the wonderful people who stopped by for a visit. The questions and comments were a lot of fun to answer, and there were even a couple that I've never been asked before. *Shock*
That doesn't happen often these days.
Ah, I hear that the third load of laundry is ready for me to fold. I suppose that's enough rambling for today. If you're in the mood for more, just pop over to Facebook. I ramble on there throughout the day...always.
Have a good one!
